Finally finishing our two day offshore adventure. Monday was pretty calm. Today the seas picked up and we had a nice breeze so we were able to sail most of the day. Had a whale sighting yesterday and just after dawn today some dolphins were off the starboard feeding. The water is a beautiful blue color. At noon we were about 24 miles off Atlantic City. Anchoring in harbor of refuge in Lewes, DE. Tomorrow we head up Delaware Bay to the C&D canal.Read more
TravelerWell, Don did get sick yesterday after trying to take a nap below - but it was just once so he is grateful. Having the 4th crew member onboard meant I didn't have a night watch so that was nice. Yesterday nothing came out of the galley that wasn't pre packaged until a late dinner after anchoring but no complaints so that was good. We are happy we made it - Dan (Richard's friend) made a comment that his 25' would not have been fun at all yesterday but Moonlight Lady rode it out reasonably well. Swells got to 4' + but it wasn't too bad.
Traveler How’s everyone feeling? 🤢
