That is the Aere river - we are floating down that tomorrow...should be interesting.

    Guy playing the bagpipes!

Plus, some interesting Swiss art 🎨 thoughts??

Also, people are really mean here 😢 when they hear us speak English to each other they give the stink eye and say something to us in either German, Spanish, French, Italian or Swiss German...because yes they all speak every language here except English 😭Read more

  • Lake cruise to Thun and Speiz

    June 25, 2023 in Switzerland ⋅ ☀️ 20 °C

Beautiful lake cruise to see some more scenery. Such a cool place but can't drink the running water so it's a no from me.

    Checked out another castle 🏰

Also once we put our feet in the water...we decided not to float down it. The current is just a touch too fast for us 😅Read more

  • Paris ; the city of looove

    June 27, 2023 in France ⋅ ☁️ 22 °C

Arrived in Paris - not gonna lie, it's kind of overhyped.

The amount of homeless people is outstanding and it smells. But nonetheless, we ventured on and did a boat cruise of the main views along the Seine River 🛥Read more

  • Paris - Doing tourist things

    June 28, 2023 in France ⋅ ☀️ 20 °C

In the morning we visited the Sacré Coeur, Basilica. Very cool. Wernt allowed to take photos, although 99% of people were. I respected the rules to avoid possible cursage.

The wall of love ❤️ "I love you" in all different languages. Couldn't find anything familiar so enjoy a sideshow of me pointing wildly.

    Sainte-Chapelle was ✨️STUNNING ✨️
very impressed. All that stained glass. Accidentally stole a post card from here I think, looks like the possibility of cursage is still high

59 Rivoli Art - this little art museum is a space where artists rent out a space to work in. You can walk around and see them working 🎨 the art on the walls and floor changes frequently depending on who is working in there.

Breakfast ✅️ absolutely delish - good avo would eat again. Not sure how the bacon was "French bacon" as it just tasted the same...

Palais Garnier - aka the Opera house. Another unreal building with unreal art on the walls and roof 🤯

    Arc de Triomphe 👌👌

Petit Palais - opted for this instead of the Louvre. Im happy with my choice! So cool and all the art was incredibly old like what.

    Ate snails 🐌 🐌 🐌

  • Last night in Paris...the city of looove

    June 30, 2023 in France ⋅ ☁️ 19 °C

3rd night of the riots I think? During the days it was absolutely fine and dandy and then as soon as the sun went down things were out the gate.

Kids aged 14-18 breaking and looting and setting fire to things - being little pests 🐛🪲Read more

The 1st of July was a travel day essentially. After last night we wanted to get out of the city pretty quickly so headed out to the airport early.

No pictures so enjoy some more rioting 😅🙃

Also, ate at this really nice café! It was called the fat basted or something 👍

    July 2, 2023 in Portugal ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C

Day packed full of exploring as we pass through Lisbon; Portugal.

90% of their houses are covered in ceramic tiles, im a big fan.

First we visited the Monastary, very cool 😎

Then we visited the Bélém tower which was super impressive but also a tourist system for sure. They had us filing in and up and around so quickly.Read more

    July 2, 2023 in Portugal ⋅ ☀️ 33 °C

Had my first Tuktuk ride - wild. That little kart machine thing was clocking 100 on the main road 😳 she was bumpy.

Then found the Tile museum which was amazing. All of this work was from hundreds of years ago 😨 I thought it had been printed on the tile but no, painted on! Wild.Read more

    Another pit stop, Porto!
This place was beautiful, the people were so lovely and the sights 👌👌

We did a river cruise to learn about the different parts, got a bit cloudy/foggy there for a minute but back to sunshine.

We went to the "world's most beautiful bookshop" - it waaas pretty beautiful, have to agree there. And checked out the Cathedral who's outside walls are tiles!

Had my first port thing, pretty good 👍

    Welcome to Madrid!
This is my favourite place so far, low key would move here 🛩

Day one was a full day touring around the different villages in Madrid. First stop, Àvila. We saw some unreal architecture and art. The men here make all of the traditional jewelry by hand, not exactly sure how but it was cool.

Also, 3 course meal for €14, what a banger.

    July 4, 2023 in Spain ⋅ ☀️ 28 °C

This place was out the gate. Don't know why I continue to be surprised...

Some Segovia here. See that wall, that was built in the year 100 like what? Still going strong 💪

See those arches? Also built extremely early. These people were smart. To transfer water from outside of the city they built this, let gravity do the work. They used this system right until 1960. Also, it's not even stuck together with anything, no morter or concrete or glue or nothing! Just held together with the pressure???Read more

  • Sagrada Familia

    July 6, 2023 in Spain ⋅ ☁️ 25 °C

We did a guided tour of the Sagrada Familia - super amazing and the history that goes into the build is intense.
Still not complete, hence the scaffolding. And the end design has changed a bunch of times but still looks pretty cool. This Cathedral looks pretty different in terms of design, the roof is meant to look like tall palm trees.
Also, the stained glass windows, each wall is based on the different seasons of the year so all very different!
And the stairwell down was steep and curvy and long, not a fan 🙃

Just the ending of this beautiful museum!

The last part of the attraction was this 3D art - before entering they asked if anyone was clostraphobic but I low key feel like they should have asked about epilepsy or something because woah.

Also, neurodiverse individuals work in this museum and also support the creation of the newer art pieces! E.g., the 3D thing

We did lots of walking today and saw the government building, the Cathedral area and surrounds and the beach! Very busy beach, pretty warm water.

Also, the boy/people doing number 2's is apparently a symbol for Barcelona? Apparently meaning like freedom or something? I dont get it
