• Vienna

    May 15, 2022 in Austria ⋅ ☀️ 21 °C

The city is honestly gorgeous. Full of old buildings and stunning architecture, giant Palaces sit between coffee houses and churches. The old city is beautiful if a little lacking in diversity. Every building is the same colour, and though different styles it began to blend a little.Read more

  • Vienna's state opera house

    May 15, 2022 in Austria ⋅ 🌙 13 °C

Damn this was a pretty cool building. Half destroyed in the war, not all if it is restored so you can see the divide between before the war, after the war, and after they ran out of money. It is a stunning building with ridiculously large amounts of gold. I did not end up seeing an opera as standing for 4hrs didnt really appeal to me.Read more

Berlin has a history everyone knows about. But sometimes people stop listening. The walking tour taught me so much about the aftereffect of the war on Berlin, something that I knew shamelessly little about. Tomorrow I am going to go around the museums the tour guide suggested and really learn about something I never knew about.Read more

  • Trains

    May 9, 2022 in Germany ⋅ ☀️ 20 °C

So a 6.5hr train is bad enough. Now its gonna be longer because the train I was going to transfer too is delayed. Yep, that's right, it's not just England!

  • Amsterdam

Though the tour and guide were both very good I still found myself disliking the city. Finally I figured it out. Though this city has a lot of history to it that history has either been lost to time, tourism or laziness. In places buildings or areas were knocked down to allow for the modern era, which though many think is essential is just sad. Others were replaced with bad copies or new buildings were made to look old.
For me this entire city gives off the vibe of being false and made to cover up too much of what once was.
That and the fact that this time of year, and maybe always, the city is a trap for frat boys and stag dos.

Antwerp is surprisingly beautiful. Look past the construction work and quantity of tour groups and you can see why. The architecture is stunning, attention to detail and hidden features are across the cities old town. I found myself enjoying this city more than Brussels.Read more

  • Breakfast

    May 4, 2022 in Belgium ⋅ ⛅ 11 °C

My brain keeps struggling between the £ and the € and the costs of things. When the guy at the counter said 6,20 I was like ok fair, croissant and homemade smoothie, not bad. But then I realised that was € and its actually £5,50. You soundly get that in UK, and not at this quality. Very impressed and lovely breakfast. Exki, I would recommendRead more

  • Beliguim fries

    May 4, 2022 in Belgium ⋅ ⛅ 8 °C

I mean they were ok. Maybe I just like the crispy small chips too much so these just dont work for me. Overall, good to try. Will I have them again, not unless I can help it.

  • Walking tour

    May 3, 2022 in Belgium ⋅ ⛅ 15 °C

An amazing walking tour around Brussels. The tour guide genuinely cared about the city and showing the best, and sometimes, worst parts of it. Will be doing more Sandeman's tours.
