22k past Leon

And we're back on the trail! We took a few days rest to visit the larger cities of Burgos and Leon so now our feet (and our bellies!) feel great. Our last dinner in Leon was fantastic; I had salmon crepes and pork chops with a berry sauce, and mom had scallops and seafood stew. In Leon we visited the cathedral and the basilica. The cathedral is an excellent example of gothic architecture with beautiful stained glass. But we were blown away by the basilica, which had amazing 13th century paintings on the wall. We were not allowed to take pictures, but I highly recommend a google image search! We know we have our walking legs on because today's13 miles felt very easy! Tomorrow we have an 18 mile day. We are at the foothills of the mountains and will start our largest climbs in a few days. The country side is beautiful and we are enjoying our journey. Czytaj więcej
