The Gibb River Road is behind us now. A couple of nights in Derby to restock, so some repairs and head off to the Dampier peninsular. Derby has a very long jetty, the prison boab tree and a quirky little restaurant. There is also a windmill that feeds a very long trough that was built to water the stock coming to the town to be shipped out. The area included a bath built for the stockmen’s use before they hit town. This was dismantled to prevent the spread of hookworm. Yuk! There are also some fab sculptures along the walk to the jetty. Will post some of those tonight.Leer más
