    As soon as we landed we hit the ground running. We started in Chinatown and to fuel up on bao buns and Chinese breads before heading out. We checked out all the big attractions Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, and House of Parliament.Read more

  • Royal Afternoon

    We spent our afternoon treating ourself to an authentic afternoon tea. We dined in Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee Tea Room. We nibbled on finger sandwiches, scones, and pastries. While we were in Fortnum and Masons for tea, we got to check out the royal china for King Charles’ coronation.Read more

  • Tower Hill

    We spend the morning exploring along the Thames. We started the morning at Tower of London, where the royal jewels are and followed it by seeing the Tower Bridge, St. Paul’s cathedral, and Shakespeare’s Globe Theater. We also made a few Harry Potter filming pit stops to see the Leadenhall Market and Millennium Bridge. Around lunch time we explore the Tate Modern Art Museam.Read more

  • Shoreditch

    We spent the afternoon in the neighborhood of Shoreditch. Shoreditch is a hip neighborhood in east London that is full of thrift stores, murals, and curry shops. A local artist has painted and hidden little broccolis all around the neighborhood.Read more

  • Little Venice to Camden

    We took a 45 minute boat ride from our Airbnb neighborhood of Little Venice to Camden which is the birthplace of grunge. It was such a relaxing boat trip and our favorite part of the day.

  • Notting Hill

    We spent the morning in the neighborhood of Notting Hill. We munched on yummy pastries and enjoyed the antique markets. Notting Hill is famous for its picturesque houses.

  • Kensington

    We spent the middle of the day exploring Kensington gardens and Kensington Palace. We walked through Hyde Park and saw the Victoria and Albert memorial. We also stopped for a pint at the beautiful Churchill Arms Pub. We spent the afternoon in the National History Museum followed by a coffee pit stop in Harrods and dinner at London’s top Indian restaurant Dishoom.Read more

    For lunch we ate our way through the Borough Market. We nibbled on fresh chocolate covered strawberries and traditional English sausage rolls.

  • Greenwich

    We took the ferry to Greenwich. We got to see the London Bridge from the water and enjoyed an amazing cruise down the Thames River. In Greenwich we explored the Royal Naval College, Cutty Sark, and Greenwich Market.Read more

  • The Shambles

    After a two hour train ride we walked into York and headed straight to the Shambles. The Shambles is a historic street preserved for the 14th century medieval times. We nibbled on local favorites of pork pie and fish and chips.Read more

  • Sally Lun’s Buns

    We ate lunch in the oldest house in Bath! It was built in 1462 and lived in until 1680 when it was turned into an eating house. They are famous for their larger fluffy buns. We sipped on tea and ate a nice lunch here before enjoying the baths.Read more

  • Roman Baths

    We took a tour of the Roman Baths, which is the namesake for this city. They have a natural spring that the Ancient Romans built a bath from in the year 47. They have been preserved and still stand to this day. We learned so much!Read more

  • Exploring Bath

    Bath is one of the most unique places we’ve ever been. The entire city is a world heritage site for its Georgian architecture. This town has been used for many films and TV shows including Bridgerton. We also learned that Frankenstein and Uranus were both created in Bath.Read more

  • Edinburgh Day 1

    We got into Edinburgh today around lunch. Today is pride in Edinburgh so it was PACKED. We got out of the crowds by exploring the graveyards where JK Rowling was inspired for her names of many Harry Potter characters. We saw many of the main sights and even tried haggis.Read more

  • Edinburgh Day 2

    In our second day in Edinburgh we were finally greeted with some rain to end this heat wave. We did a lot of walking today. On top of going to the castle we also explored the gardens below and saw Ross Fountain. We had a yummy lunch at Oink and local hog roastery and ended our afternoon with ice cream from Mary’s Milk Bar by the castle.Read more

    We took a tour of the Edinburgh Castle early this morning. It was beautiful weather and nice to get there before the crowds. Justjn enjoyed all of the different war artifacts and prison cells.

  • Scottish Whisky Experience

    After the castle we did the Scottish Whisky Experience. We learned about the five different regions the whisky comes from, learned about the history, and got to do a tasting. They also have the largest scotch collection in the world.Read more

  • Quiet Morning

    We spent the morning soaking in the views and slowly drinking coffee. We will pick up our van and head the the highlands this afternoon.

  • Carnigorm National Park

    We enjoyed the amazing views of Cairngorm National Park this evening. We are officially in the highlands! We even got to see our first distillery.
