    After seeing the ruins of Urquhart Castle we got to check out the restored castle of Eileen Donan Castle. This was our favorite historic spot of the trip. This castle was fully restored and was like walking through a real life medieval castle. We weren’t allowed to take pictures inside but it was absolutely incredible.Read more

    We stayed totally off the grid at the most beautiful campsite. We were in the mountains, surrounded by sheep, and on the ocean. It was so nice to unplug and rewind.

    We walked to beach with the dinosaurs! This beach as 14 dinosaur footprints that were fossilized from the Jurassic period. Unfortunately the tide was too high and we couldn’t see them but we got an incredible view of the ocean.Read more

    We drove up the beautiful Quiraing on our way to see the Fairy Glenn. We almost got blown away at the top it was so windy. The view was so worth it.

    We spent the afternoon exploring the Fairy Glenn. This is an area that was carved out by glaciers that created hills and a huge cliff that looks like ruins. The spiral was later created in connection to fairy lore on the island.Read more

    We enjoyed the view of the Cullin Mountains this morning on our drive to Fort William. We spent more time driving today than expected due to an overbooked ferry but we are finally in Glencoe!

    We stopped for lunch in the sleepy little town of Fort William on our way to Glencoe. It’s a big hiking pit stop due to the large mountain of Ben Nevis. Ben Nevis is the tallest mountain in Scotland.

    We are spending our last night camping in the STUNNING Glencoe. We have an amazing view from our campsite. We hiked to the location Hagrid’s Hut was filmed in Harry Potter and had a great dinner in a local eatery.Read more

    On our drive out of Glencoe we stopped at the Three Sisters which is three mountains on the edge of Glencoe. It’s a dreary day for our drive back.

    Our last tourist stop of the trip was to see the Kelpies which is a large horse statue about an hour outside of Edinburgh.

    We arrived back in Edinburgh for our train back to London with a few hours to kill so we had a full Scottish breakfast, checked out a local art shop, and sipped cocktails and coffee at a really cool cocktail lounge.Read more
