Day 2 was slightly more rainy, windy and gray, but nice nonetheless! Took the ferry to Suomenlinna and walked around for a bit. The weather didn't really improve, so after we looked for things inside,Les mer
A little over 2 hours by train and you'll find yourself in Tampere, a nice city (with a lot of construction on the main road now, haha) surrounded by lakes. It has a few nice spots and viewingpoints,Les mer
When in Finland, you can't not visit a lake, it's actually really difficult as well considering there are approximately 187,888 lakes in the country.
This one is around half an hour from the centerLes mer
More lakes and forests! From Kuopio we took a bus to Neulamaki, a town close by with amazing trails to 2 lakes and through beautiful forests.
And now... The rest of our trip we'll have a lake cottageLes mer
Lots of travelling and groceries today, but with an incredible end result! Our very own cottage at a beautiful lake, private sauna and a rowing boat. Great days are coming :)!
After a short stop in Savonlinna, we cruised north to National Park Linnansari. An Island in the biggest lake of Finland, lake Saimaa, with nice hiking and views. And, when we arrived at our cuteLes mer
Our final day at our lovely lake... We climbed a 55 meter high rock (which is very tall for Finland!) for an amazing view and afterwards just enjoyed the good weather at our cottage.
