A couple of nights here.
Doing the Wilderness Rail today. Looking forward to it!!
It was excellent. The scenery was fabulous the food was great the company was good! Would do it again if we could afford it.
Today we went looking for fungi and found the blue one I was after.
Got great photos of a quoll on the road. He hung around for about 5 minutes.
The Mountain Bike Tracks are certainly marking the landscape over here.Read more

I am pretty sure we camped in this same spot 7 years ago!! Let's hope we get to see the quolls again.
The signs have aged a little bit!!
Decided to spoil Mal and make a Pizza for him.
Saw two brush-tailed Quolls the first evening.
The camera trap got lots of Quoll, Paddymelons & even two Wombats!! 283 photos on the first night, 54 second night and 243 third night.
This is a very special spot for me.
Unfortunately the dam levels were up so we didn't get to see our knight on his horse in the lake.
We met Louise & John here. Lovely couple and we seemed to have quite a bit in common.Read more

Not such great weather here. Got fairly wet yesterday doing the Lady Barron, Horseshoe & Russell falls. Fabulous fungi along the way. I could have taken twice as long to do it but Mal's back was being problematical.

On our way back to Hobart.
Not much in the way of camping there so decided to camp here. A really steep hill to get up.
We met Josie & David who live at 110!! David gave us some scorpions, so hopefully will get to photograph them in the morning. The babies are white.
They have a view of Mt Wellington from their home. Very much off grid and DIY house!!Read more

Got the Fourty Spotted Pardalote.
Oysters on the rocks in the bay!! Not as good a spot as 7 years ago, but no where to park up there.

Two nights here, no oysters!! Got a loaf of sourdough from the bread fridge, it was so yummy we started eating it as we were driving to this camp spot.
What a fantastic spot. Dusky & Scarlett Robins sitting on the camper steps. Wasps eating the ham on Mal's plate while he was having lunch!! Four of them in the end all busily working away.
I did the circuit walk and came across about 30 Silvereyes.
We were expecting it to be really busy as Easter starts tomorrow. The campground is nearly empty.
Spoke to soon, the yobbos turned late Thursday arvo and partied late into the night. They were joined by many more the next morning!!Read more

Two nights here as Paul was given the wrong date for the pelagic so we won't be able to do it now.
Paul is coming anyway as he has paid for his accommodation.
We will go birding tomorrow, so that will be good.
Had lunch with Majane & Louis today.
Veronica left two Easter eggs on our camper steps this morning!! So sweet of her.
We put our silver liners in Vicky for the first time tonight, let's hope they keep us warm!!

Wow this place just gets better & better!! Lovely little secluded camp sites at 7 ° brrrr. Even some sunshine this morning. Haven't seen any for a week.
Mal's 70th today.
Well it may be sunny but the cloud is at ground level now!
Had a fabulous time even had a Bassian Thrush beside the camp, also a Quoll & a possum on the camera trap.

We went into Reliquaire but the new shop doesn't have the stock the one that burnt down has. Still they have done a good job in the new shop. It has rabbit holes & a tardis, a Harry Potter room and lots more.Read more
