ПутешественникThis was the first location of Charles University, founded by Charles IV, with four faculties: science, art, law and something else (there was a lot of info in the tour!) . Now there are around 28 faculties, spread across the city, and lecturers have included Einstein, Freud, and other famous people!

ПутешественникThis theatre, next to the university, was a bit part of culture here when it was founded, because a beneficiary paid, two days a week, for the poorer people of the city to attend for free. Outside it is a sculpture of one of Mozart's characters

ПутешественникThis is the old town square. Good Kind Wenceslas was born in the square building with the dark, pointy roof. The huge church next to it (neo-gothic architecture) was actually built in the courtyard of the buildings surrounding it, but they have since been done up into a newer style. The right hand tower of the church is slightly bigger than the left, indicating South/the Sun, and North/the Moon respectively
