We were originally seated on the left side over the wing but we moved up a few rows to the right in front of the wing. I was able to tell when we were near the Blue Lagoon and zoomed across the aisle (over my mother!) to get to the left side window (empty row across from us) to get some shots of the Blue Lagoon. Reindeer glacier. Mom and I opted not to do the 30 minute hike but I got off the bus to take a few photos. Unfortunately one of our fellow passengers fell on the hike and hurt herself badly (she thinks her ankle is broken). We had to stop on the drive to the ship in the one spot where there’s a signal for a Ponant Expedition Guide to make a call about her.Read more

Today is the first full cruise day and our first stop, Sisimiut, Greenland. We opted to visit the Sisimiut Museum but not do the “Flavors of Greenland” at the Taseralik Cultural Center. (It was likely to include raw whale which I will never ever try.)Read more
