• Showday in Brisbane

    November 13, 2024 in the Netherlands ⋅ ☁️ 13 °C

I don't have a lot of photo's from this day I think.. I took some videos that day of the storm, but I can't find them at the moment. The venue was very nice, It was an open stage with a big field curving up till the end for the crowd to have a good view, with a lot of food stalls at the top.
It started as a very sunny day, but around dinner it became very gloomy and the sky turned a dark green, which according to a guy who worked there, meant bad news.

We had to help close the shutters al around us because of the heavy wind. It was amazing to experience, but also a bit scary because we also didn't know how severe it would get and what it would mean for the ritual but most importantly, there were a lot of people outside who were out in the open.

In the end, Eivor performed her whole set and we had to cut some songs from our set but thankfully could still perform that night and although it was a strange day, I feel we gave the audience a good one.

I did think I would react a bit more emotional as this was our last Australian ritual, but in a strange way, I didn't feel the emotions that I expected.. Maybe because it didn't mean the tour was over, and I was very excited to travel to New Zealand.
