    Red Hill Auditorium Perth - Ritual

    First showday on a beautiful park outside of Perth. It is a beautiful park where apparently you can see a lot of spiders and snakes, 🐍 so we went on a snake walk, but couldn't find any (unfortunately) but it was a beautiful walk anyways. 🤎

    There were some spiders in the backstage, but they were checked and could chill with us.

    During this day, the realisation hit me that I am actually in Australia and get to experience this crazy cool trip together with Heilung.

    We had some hairsalon time creating cool hairstyles, which was a lot of fun.

    We were graced with the presence of Jack, an aboriginal who joined us in opening the ritual on this sacred land. It felt really special, and I loved seeing him on stage in his crocs.

    Off day in Adelaide - Part I

    What an amazing day this was.

    Nina and me have a ritual that we wake up, get ready and find a good coffee place to get (for me it's a chai latte) and get a nice sandwich or pastry.

    We booked an appointment the day before to get our nails done, which we planned at 11. Mira also joined us and got the same design, but in the colours of her stage dress, an amazing gold shimmer which looks amazing.

    Luuk posted in our freetime channel on discord that he was going to rent a car and wanted to visit 2 waterfalls and a beach around Adelaide so we asked if we could join and meet him at the rental place.

    Our nail appointment took a little bit longer than planned, so we took an uber to the Europcar rental and made it to a perfect time as Luuk was just about ready with getting to the car.

    I'm continuing this later as we are now going to fly to Melbourne.... 🛫☀️    Leggi altro

    Showday in Brisbane

    I don't have a lot of photo's from this day I think.. I took some videos that day of the storm, but I can't find them at the moment. The venue was very nice, It was an open stage with a big field curving up till the end for the crowd to have a good view, with a lot of food stalls at the top.
    It started as a very sunny day, but around dinner it became very gloomy and the sky turned a dark green, which according to a guy who worked there, meant bad news.

    We had to help close the shutters al around us because of the heavy wind. It was amazing to experience, but also a bit scary because we also didn't know how severe it would get and what it would mean for the ritual but most importantly, there were a lot of people outside who were out in the open.

    In the end, Eivor performed her whole set and we had to cut some songs from our set but thankfully could still perform that night and although it was a strange day, I feel we gave the audience a good one.

    I did think I would react a bit more emotional as this was our last Australian ritual, but in a strange way, I didn't feel the emotions that I expected.. Maybe because it didn't mean the tour was over, and I was very excited to travel to New Zealand.    Leggi altro

    Travelday to New Zealand/Auckland

    We had a big delay when we were flying towards New Zealand. We had to wait for hours and hours on the airport at Brisbane, but that didn't stop Bella, Nina and myself from having a good time. Because of the delay we received vouchers, so we went to the make-up section in the mall section and bought ourselves some lovely lipsticks, went into the business lounge TWICE and just had a long chill among the rest at the gate before we could finally board our plane to Auckland.

    Upon arrival, we had to declare a few things before entering NZ, so I declared that I got in touch with wildlife, as we were touching Logan's (Koala) butt at the Australia Zoo. Nobody said I had to do that because it was in a Zoo, and coming to the desk at the airport, it became very clear I indeed did not had to declare things like that. But as a first time visitor of NZ, I just didn't really know haha. Better be safe than sorry I guess..

    I got through customs quite quick, but other people had to have their suitcases opened to double check if everything we brought was okay. In the end it was, but it took a long time for some people to get through it,

    When we were all complete we were greeted in the most amazing way. I had a wish this would happen, but when it did, I couldn't contain myself and could only smile and cry at the same time.
    We got greeted by Eru and his beautiful group Kaihaka Kapa Haka. They sang and danced for us and we in return also did some for them. It is a beautiful experience I will cherish for my entire live and I am so grateful I got to experience this.. I sometimes still cry about it hahah.

    As the time difference was +3 from Brisbane, we arrived pretty late but had a very nice dinner that evening (at 11pm) and went to chill in our hotel room after.    Leggi altro

    Second Offday in Auckland

    Tattoo day and a short trip in the evening to Piha Beach to eat hamburgers.

    Bella, Nina and myself wanted to get "Sisterwives" tattoos to commemorate this tour and our friendship. After meeting Rosie during the Haka workshop, we had the courage to ask her if she wanted to tattoo us, and she did. She ended up tattooing a few more of our group on other days as well.

    She came to our hotel room with 2 of her friends and without knowing what we really wanted, she had something in mind already, told us on the day of tattooing, and the meaning matched perfectly with what we wanted so we just went for it. At first we wanted to do get it traditionally, but that would take up too much time, so she ended all of our sessions with tattooing 3 small birds in the traditional way for us to experience the feeling and their ways. The rest of the tattoo she did with machine, and a machine she was!
    I think she did each of our tattoos within the hour.

    I am updating this on my laptop, and apparently I can only upload videos via my phone, so just pictures for now :)    Leggi altro

    First day of my holidays in Auckland

    I had the last 2 nights alone in my hotel room, as Nina got another hotel with her boyfriend. I spent this day very easy and relaxed. I checked in to my new hotel which was a few 100 meters from our current hotel and brought my suitcase there already. We had 7pm check out in our fancy so I decided to stay there as long as possible as my new hotel was not so nice to be honest.

    Eivor had an extra show that night in a venue in the city, so we decided to grab some food with a small group, and watch their show that night. It was a great way to say goodbye to everyone as people were either traveling home, or starting their holidays in New Zealand. And to end our tour. It felt like an extra bonus day together.     I saw dolphins on open sea

    I had booked an whale/dolphin watching tour from 1 till 6 on open sea. We saw a lot of water, got very wet also and I spotted 2 common dolphins who were playing and swimming around our boat for quite some time. No whales unfortunately. I was very salty when I got back. Had hamburgers in the evening and I just gave myself a lot of chill and rest time. I had a lot to process after this intense 4 week ride.

    I don't have videos of the dolphins, just videos :(
    And I am very bummed that Penguins isn't showing my location in Auckland as I am uploading this at home, but that is where this was.    Leggi altro
