    ios to mykonos

    up and off to the ferry this morning, made sure we were payin attention this time getting on and off. played cards most of the way over. snagged a bus straight away to our accomodation in mykonos town. went and got some amazing gyros at some place just down he road. then back to the room for a 3 hour power nap. then got on a bus to paradise beach. it was pretty crazy here, just one big party on the beach and at paradise beach club, ordered a drink each. and sat on he beach. we ended up going to guapaloca beach club cuz it had a better vibe. ordered a 5 liter bucket of alcohol and got a free t shirt. it took us quite a while to finish this bucket, but i can tell we were good and ready for some dancing once we finished it. bit of dancing and then some $3 gyros for dinner to top off the night. sat on the beach till 130am till we could hop on the bus and head back to our room. but first.... ice cream filled crepes :) good night.Leer más

    mykonos to rome

    today we leave the greek islands and head back to italy. we got in around 10am and went back to the camping village we stayed at before. to catch the bus into rome and go into the vatican. was worth the trip, lots of interesting paintings and history. lots of art and museum type stuff too, so we didnt stay too long, maybe 2 hours. then back to the camping village where we decided to stay for the night. and we were dying for a swim. so swim, dinner down the steet, cuz i definitely wasnt eating at cao bella again anmfter the last 2 experiences. dinner. bed.Leer más

    rome, san gimignano, pisa

    up an adam for some time on the road. san gimignano was well worth the stop. kool little medevil town, picked up some great souvenirs and ate the a slow food michelen star restaurant.. best food of the while trip, and worth the money. back in the car to pisa. held her up, got a photo, and then walked thru the markets, and got a new leather handbag. as we were walking to the car, we stopped at a little pizza place for a beer to watch the world cup final. then headed up the coast to our accomodation, near la spezia. took us forever to find something for dinner, finally we found pizza and it was probably one of the better pizzas we had on our trip.Leer más

    cinque de terre, monaco, cannes

    well today we started on our adventure to cinque de terre, what a windy and narrow road that was! we werent really sure what to do when the road ended, but we got out and started walking, and we were glad we did. 20 mins down the road was a little colorful village and tons of people there, it was super kool. cute, and awesome all in one. walked around, mick went for a swim, walked up to the top of the castle and had an awesome little calamari and chips lunch for our walk back to the car. back out the windy road and thru the National park for some amazing views. we reached monaco, and driving down into monaco was a bad idea. so much traffic, and fr whatever reason they had some roads closed, so it was a nightmare to get around. we ended up in monaco for over an hour, just drivng around in traffic trying to get out. finally made it out and headed to Nice. and wow its a hige city! way bigger than i wouldve thot. made it t Nice and had dinner (nothin special). Nice was nice. it looks like they have done a fair bit of improvements to the boardwalk cuz it all looks new. one of the better more organized coastal citties so far that we have seen. it was getting pretty late, so we headed to our accommodation in cannes.Leer más

    french riviera

    today was pretty kool, we woke up, drove to the beach in cannes, had breakfast, walked by all the super yachts with our jaws dropped. then a swim at the beach. then drove along the coast and stopped along the way where ever we wanted to admire and swim along the way. the drive was beautiful. it was blowing our minds the amount of yahts we were seeing, and how many people have that much money to afford these super yahts. it was crazy! some had ski boats underneath like in a garage under the yaht. and big slides, 3+ levels. jaws were definitely dropped most of the day and lots of wows. along with some incredible views of the coast, lots of pictures today. we drove the coast all the way to saint tropez and then headed straight to the airport in marseille. nearly running out of fuel. cleaned up our hire car, repacked (dunno how we got it all to fit, with adding camping gear). and now we are sitting in the airport waiting for our delayed flight. 11pmLeer más
