Devils Tower

Hiked around Devils Tower this morning and were glad we did because the weather was perfect. A beautiful 1.3 mile hike around the bottom. We saw a group of four climbers up in the rocks and our quiet Patrick got their attention and a nice wave!もっと詳しく

Needles Highway

Matt, Sarah and Patrick drove in Matt's truck down the Needles Highway in Custer State Park. It reminded us of the hoodoos at Bryce Canyon. A fun drive full of twists and turns. Can only be done in a car because of the three tunnels that are too small for an RV.もっと詳しく

Wind Caves National Park

Angus, Maddie & Gordie drove directly from Mt.Rushmore to go on a special Candlelight Tour of the caves. It was a 2 hour tour in a small group (8 total including the the ranger today) and they each had to carry a "candle" in a bucket. Turns out it was an electric candle, but still a different and authentic way to view the caves.

Matt and Sarah did the Garden of Eden tour after they were done so here are a few pictures from that tour since the first tour group wasn't allowed to bring cameras.

Uncle Matt has to return to his Infectious Diseases rotation in Casper, WY so we have to bid adieu to him here. 😭 We loved seeing you again, Matt! Thanks for your energy, enthusiasm and patience! You made it a great day! 😘 Good luck! 👍🏻🍀もっと詳しく

Notre Dame

Visited the campus of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN. Everyone fell in love with the school and it's amazing buildings and facilities. Nice to see students back on campus and the excitement of a soccer game. The new 15,000 square foot boathouse was a site, too. The women's 8's were out on the water when we stopped by to take a look. Arrived to a warm breakfast 🍳, lots of coffee and it was time for some TV and of course snuggle time with Tucker and Roni. So nice to hang out for a few hours and not be moving and bouncing. Showers and a tub for Patrick as we were all rather dirty. Then it was time to clean the camper and unload Maddie and Gordie's stuff. Angus naturally couldn't sit still so helped Joy by tilling her new backyard garden area. Perfect stop and we certainly could have stayed longer as everyone was so comfortable and happy. We made it home!!! Patrick realized where we were once we stopped in West Lebanon and he was so excited to be back at "My Hampshire" to see the kitties! Good to be home that's for sure.

Garden & Favorites

Our garden is doing great and we even have big pumpkins growing!!! 🎃 Hoping for a couple of more weeks of warm weather before the first frost to finish everything. Might get in the late crop of peas!

Angus ~ Avalanche Mt. & Mt.Washburn hikes @ Yellowstone
Sarah ~ Yellowstone boardwalks
Maddie ~ Taking pictures of the geysers, paint pots and bubbling mud in Yellowstone
Gordie ~ Seeing the bear in Glacier and the Bison up close in Yellowstone
Patrick ~ My cars! Lightning McQueen! My new Doc Hudson! (Thank you, Bartlett Family!)
