Petit appartement, grande générosité !!!
Faraz est un jeune pakistanais de 31 ans, cavalier expérimenté dans son pays (voir vidéo). Il était ravi de me recevoir. De lui-même, quand il a vu les prévisions météo pour vendredi, il m'a proposé de rester chez lui. J'ai accepté. J'étais épuisé par la journée de jeudi : dénivelé important et surtout vent froid et fort de face en permanence. En rafales ! Il a fait max 3°, ressenti -2°. Mon montage polaire, bâche sur le guidon a atténué le froid sur mes mains. Ma chaufferette a fonctionné toute la journée (merci Ludo) : c'est un petit appareil grand comme ... (voir photo) qui fonctionne à l'essence. Une fois remplie, ça dure des heures. Je m'arrêtais souvent pour me réchauffer les mains.
Aujourd'hui, Faraz travaillait. Je ne l'ai revu qu'à 20h30.
Cette journée m'a permis de me reposer, de préparer la suite de mon voyage et de faire quelques courses.
La météo s'annonce meilleure pour les jours qui viennent. En revanche, les personnes pouvant me recevoir par le réseau Warmshower, vont se faire rare. Il me reste les possibilités du camping officiel, du camping sauvage et du shelter fermé ou non. L'avantage du camping, c'est la douche et l'accès à l'électricité.
Faraz, j'espère que ton souhait de retrouver tes amis se réalisera et que tu pourras revoir ta famille plus souvent 🙏

Small flat, big generosity!
Faraz is a young Pakistani, 31 years old, and an experienced rider in his own country (see video). He was delighted to welcome me. When he saw the weather forecast for friday, he asked me to stay at his place. I accepted. I'd been exhausted by thursday's route, with its steep gradients and, above all, the constant cold, strong headwind. In gusts! The maximum temperature was 3°C, but it felt like -2°C. My fleece set-up, with a tarpaulin over the handlebars, kept the cold off my hands. My heater worked all day (thanks Ludo): it's a small device as big as ... (see photo) that runs on gasoline. Once it's full, it lasts for hours. I often stopped to warm my hands.
Faraz was working today. I didn't see him again until 8.30 pm.
Today gave me a chance to rest, prepare for the rest of my trip and do some shopping.
The weather looks better for the next few days. On the other hand, there won't be many people available to welcome me through the Warmshower network. I'm left with the options of official camping, wild camping and closed or open shelters. The advantage of camping is the shower and access to electricity.
