    Lake Argyle, Kununurra and Wyndham

    August 11 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 28 °C

We travelled through very rocky range country to Lake Argyle. Spectacular scenery. Today the 12th we went to Kununurra and on to Wyndham. Both days, we have been seeing Boab trees and still ants mounds. The tidal flats at Wyndham were spectacular with over 6 metres tide differential. While on the jetty watching the tide rush out, a rather flustered fellow walked up & as usual Ken asked about his day. Not good: he was loading a million dollar excavator onto a barge, as usual, but this time the excavator tipped right over into the sea & sank.... There was a lot of irrigation from Lake Argyle as well. We took photos of beautiful maize stands & cotton, ready to be harvested. Some of which was already baled.Read more
