    Hydro power Lake Argyle

    Lake Argyle is 70 km long, 45km wide & 500km around its perimeter. The dam wall is 335m long, 335m wide at its base & 99m high. It is made from clay, sand & stone. It holds 22,000 gigalitres of water, and a planned 6 metre lift in spillway doubles the capacity. The wall of the dam has a hydro power station attached and generates enough power for the whole of the Kimberley district, including various mines.Read more
