    Pitstop

    After Lali left on Thursday I had to do some housekeeping and decide if I want to go back up the Atlas. The only thing is that I have a repaired tyre!
    After hours of pointless Internet search my friend Sarah located 'La maison du 2 roues'!

    I was too early at the garage and waited in a cafe in front of a nice, big misting fan! I also discovered by chance where the princess lives.

    Aziz opened his garage and got to work. One new tyre for the BMW. He told me that his garage is only one year old and that he has many international clients. I told him to publish his pictures and hours later they where online!

    Sunday afternoon

    6. juli 2025, Marokko 🌙 21 °C

    To warm up the new tyre I drove up into the Atlas and after 128km I am back in the Sky Bar (on route back to the caravan). There are roadworks going on for 30km on the N7, so I have to 'climb' the Tizi n Test another time.

    The things you come across in Marocco...

    Storks and more R4 creativity in Ouirgane and back on the Sky rooftop you can see the princess' 'house' in the distance.    Les mer

    GoPro meinte nochmal ein Video vom Tag zu machen....

    Marrakech ist immer noch heiß und anstelle auf der Autobahn über Agadir zurückzufahren bin ich nochmal in die Berge......

    Anschließend Lunch mit Graham der in seinem Leyland Afrika bereist.

    Weekend in Casablanca

    Casablanca has breezy 30 C, so a Friday afternoon drinks in the garden is the perfect thing. Dinner at 'Brasseria' here in Dar Bouazza.

    Saturday we chilled and went to a Birthday Dinner at 'Favela Chic' in Casablanca.

    Die Unterbodenschrauben waren fest und der marrokanische Ansatz war nach langem hin und her auch die Lösung.

    Misty day on the beach

    Our beach day is a bit clouded, but it has 33!

    Finally I got the gas bottle connected for the first time and we can have coffee.

    Arnaulds R4 is a good match! He also could catch a wave.

    Al Hoceima

    I had to say good bye to Sarah and Arnauld in Casablanca. Even I have to move on at one point. Thank you guys. Without you and your help this would have been a very different trip.🙏

    On my way to Nador to catch the Ferry to Almeria I slept at a service station. Fes is far too hot this week(41) so I continued to drive on. The road to Al Hoceima is actually perfect for a motorbike!Les mer

    After a morning dip in the sea I left Al Hoceima.

    The drive was spectacular! I stopped on the way to cool down in the water.

    After I parked up in Nador I took a taxi down to the habour.

    Shit happens....

    I got up at 5am to be at the port at 6am.

    We sailed at 10:20. I was the last vehicle to board.

    I overstayed my 90 days and the good officer stamped my passport anyway.

    They prioritised me for the scanner, otherwise it would have been too late.

    The guys at the border are so helpful.

    For the home folks:
    Ich stand um 5 Uhr auf, um um 6 Uhr im Hafen zu sein.

    Wir legten um 9:20 Uhr ab. Ich war das letzte Fahrzeug, das an Bord ging.

    Ich hatte meine 90 Tage Aufenthaltserlaubnis überschritten, und der freundliche Beamte stempelte meinen Pass trotzdem ab.

    Ich wurde beim Scannen bevorzugt, sonst wäre es zu spät gewesen.

    Die Leute an der Grenze sind so hilfsbereit.

    Cleaning day in Almeria and Almanzora

    17.–19. aug. 2025, Spania ☀️ 33 °C

    Cleaning day: I did the washing, scrubbed the caravan and I needed to cool down.

    This Spa is underground and ancient and was perfect! (photos are not allowed and this is a photo from the website)

    Almeria is a typical sea side town. Lots of tourists, but John Lennon was here too. There is a strong connection with Marroco and there is even Marrakech ice cream!

    I had a parking spot for the caravan, but it wasn't nice and no electricity, so I moved on to Palomeraz / Almanzora. It is very touristic, but I have electricity!    Les mer

    She’s backkk part 1

    19.–28. aug. 2025, Spania ⛅ 30 °C

    Papi arrived on the 19th and we met for a drink in the evening after he arrived. The next day, he came to the beach (shocker i know) and ate lunch with pepe's family. We met again for Dinner together and drinks at a bar. we celebrated his birthday together the next day. We drove into valencia for lunch and did presents, and I got dripped out in motorcycle gear so we could begin our little excursions, starting with driving from the caravan to the flat. After celebrating with pepe and his family for dinner, we went to a beach bar and drank before heading to bed. Papi took me and Pepe to the aquarium in Valencia and he didn’t complain once about being there for 4 hours :). It was super cool but I will forever be scarred from the whale Willy and octopus excrement. Again went for drinks after dinner and got some free hats. The next days, I spent the morning at the beach, and papi joined for lunch, and we drove off. We visited mountains, various bars, and castles, all with amazing views.Les mer

    After sleeping the night in a hammock and being attacked by mosquitos, Papi and I drove for the day to an old cathedral/ monetary. It was once in ruins and every area in Spain donated money and time to rebuild it and therefore have each a stained glass window of their crest. There was lots of gorgeous stained glass. We spent the late afternoon walking through Valencia and saw the house of dragons. Sascha had a little siesta (after a couple sangria and tinto de verano with Fanta🤭) and we had a gorgeous steak dinner. The days after we visited Peñiscola, one of the game of thrones filming locations. We stopped off for a drink and a smoke ( don’t worry I don’t smoke- I’m not a fool). We chilled a lot and went to our favourite beach bar finishing with dinner by the sea and a gorgeous sunset. We had a very good time and he set off toward south of France xxLes mer
