Shark Bay Road

We left the Blowholes this morning intending to stay at Gladstone campgrounds on the beach halfway between Carnavon and Denham. Unfortunately, the road in was closed due to heavy rain the night before, so we moved on a further 50 km to Shark Bay Road. This is a large free camp about 30kms from Hamil Pools. We had a drive to Hamil Pools, where you can see Stromatalites. Stromatalites are only seen in a couple of places in the world, and unfortunately, the board walk to view them was damaged in a cyclone in 2021 and hasn't been repaired. We managed to get them from a distance but not get a true concept of what they look like.Weiterlesen
