Conny & Gigi in America

We spent a few days near New Aiyansh in a B&B. We had quite a bit of fun with the owner (Kim)'s two German Shepherds and walked to a small beaver dam. The last night we would have to sleep in a tent as the house was fully booked. The next morning we were awakened by the barking of the dogs. In the background we heard a howl in response, which we interpreted as coyotes. But at breakfast later with Kim, she told us about the 2 wolf packs that roam the area. Anyway, we were very happy that we had made such good friends with the dogs and that they protected us so well.

Wir haben ein paar Tage in der Nähe von New Aiyansh in einem B&B verbracht. Wir hatten ziemlich viel Spaß mit den beiden Schäferhunden der Besitzerin (Kim) und sind zu einem kleinen Bieberdamm gelaufen. Die letzte Nacht müssten wir im Zelt schlafen, da das Haus ausgebucht war. Am nächsten Morgen wurden wir vom Gebell der Hunde geweckt. Im Hintergrund hörten wir ein Heulen als Antwort, das wir als Koyoten interpretieren. Beim späteren Frühstück mit Kim erzählte sie uns aber von den 2 Wolfsrudeln die hier durch die Gegend ziehen. Wir waren jedenfalls sehr froh, dass wir uns mit den Hunden so gut angefreundet hatten und sie uns so gut beschützt haben. Czytaj więcej
