  • No Coincidence

    24 kwietnia 2023, Stany Zjednoczone

    WOW!!!!

I was assigned a middle row....middle seat on our flight to Israel..

God's perfect plan....no coincidence that I am seated between 2 Israeli Army soldiers!!!!

Moses and I connected immediately, and I, in only 30 minutes, have learned SO much!!!

When we arrive in 13 hours, it will be just in time for the alarm and 2 minutes of silence to Honor The Fallen.

We arrive on what would be considered our Memorial Day:
Yom Hazikaron, the Israeli Fallen Soldiers and Victims of Terrorism Remembrance Day.

Then, we will be there as Israel celebrates Independence Day.

Independence Day (Hebrew: יום העצמאות Yom Ha'atzmaut, lit. "Day of Independence") is the national day of Israel, commemorating the Israeli Declaration of Independence in 1948.

  • Caesarea

    26 kwietnia 2023, Izrael ⋅ ☀️ 19 °C

    Visiting Caesarea, city of Cornelius
the Centurion, the first Gentile to convert (Acts 10). We visited the Roman theatre, walked on the pier used by the apostle Paul on his way to Rome, and saw the impressive water aqueduct built by Herod the Great. We were also able to see what is believed to be the prison that Paul was held in!

    Ancient Caesarea

The modern town is named after the ancient city of Caesarea Maritima, built by Herod the Great about 25–13 BCE as a major port. It served as an administrative center of the province of Judaea (later named Syria Palaestina) in the Roman Empire, and later as the capital of the Byzantine province of Palaestina Prima. During the Muslim conquest in the 7th century, it was the last city of the Holy Land to fall to the Arabs. The city degraded to a small village after the provincial capital was moved from here to Ramla and had an Arab majority until Crusader conquest. Under the Crusaders it became once again a major port and a fortified city. It was diminished after the Mamluk conquest. [4] In 1884, Bosniak immigrants settled there.[4] In 1940, kibbutz Sdot Yam was established next to the village. In February 1948, the village was conquered by a Palmach unit commanded by Yitzhak Rabin, its people already having fled following an earlier attack by the Lehi paramilitary group.

  • BOAT RIDE SEA OF GALILEE

    28 kwietnia 2023, Izrael ⋅ ☀️ 20 °C

We had such a blessed time to recall Jesus' and his experiences with the fishermen.

Using a replica of the wooden fishing boat from 'The disciples' time, we set sail on the Sea of Galilee. Time and scripture reading as we recall Jesus' experiences with the fishermen.

Jesus walking on the water, or on the sea, is depicted as one of the miracles of Jesus recounted in the New Testament.

There are accounts of this event in three Gospels—Matthew, Mark, and John—but it is not included in the Gospel of Luke. This story, following the miracle of the feeding of the five thousand, tells how Jesus sent the disciples by ship back to the "other side" of the Sea of Galilee (the western side) while he remained behind, alone, to pray.

Night fell, and the sea arose as the ship became caught in a wind storm. After rowing against the wind for most of the night, the disciples saw Jesus walking on the water. They were frightened, thinking that they were seeing a spirit, but when Jesus told them not to be afraid, they were reassured. After Jesus entered the ship, the wind ceased, and they arrived at land.

  • Mount of Beatitudes

    28 kwietnia 2023, Izrael ⋅ ⛅ 22 °C

What an incredible blessing to be present at the Mount of Beatitudes, where Christ preached the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7).

The Mount of Beatitudes is a hill in Northern Israel on the Korazim Plateau. It is the spot where Jesus is believed to have delivered his sermon on the Mount. Overlooking the northwestern shore of the Sea of Galilee, the mount offers enchanting views of the northern part of the lake and across to the cliffs of the Golan Heights.

Ended our visit, walking in the water where Jesus walked.

On our way through the JORDAN VALLEY!

Today, we will visit Beth Shean (I Samuel 31), a Decapolis Capital mentioned in
the Gospels. We will walk on the ancient streets; view the Roman steam baths, the theatre, coliseum, market and temples.

We will leave the beautiful Galilee and head down south to the Jordan Valley towards Jesus' Baptismal Site on the Jordan River.

Located across from Jericho, the oldest city in the world and a beautiful oasis (Joshua 3), it is believed to be the traditional site where Jesus was baptized by John (Mathew 3:13). We will also visit
Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls have been found.

A nice ride along the Dead Sea will
bring us to our hotel, located in the lowest place in the world, 1300 ft, below sea level!
