    I travelled to Nereto to the house I rented for 2 weeks. Washed my hair yesterday for the first time in 3 weeks (and being outside for 3 weeks) and the water was brown 😂
    But now I'm all clean again and ready to relax a bit without stress of finding a place to set up camp.Baca lagi

    Slowing down

    The house is pretty nice, in my mind it was a house house, but it turns out the be an apartment but it's nice and inside the temperature is very doable so I can get some work done during the day as well. And for the Flook it's nice to have a colder place to hang out cause he overheats. I like having a shower and toilet and not stressing about where to spend the night but I do miss the freedom of traveling around, turns out I like that a lot!Baca lagi

    Beer festival

    Right around the corner of the house a beer festival is happening. So we decided to check it out.. Every evening a different live band is playing at the square and there is 3 beers to choose from 😂 weird beer festival if you ask me. But fun to enjoy some live music.

    Beach day

    This afternoon we went to the beach. Water was nice and warm and we had a good swim. Afterwards we went to get some pizza and went to this beer festival again. Got myself some cotton candy which always makes me happy.
    Tomorrow we will clean up the place a bit and pack the car, cause Sunday we are going to drive and camp 😍. The plan is to go to the mountains for some pretty sightseeing... Let's see..    Baca lagi

    Search for a spot

    Today we went to have a look at a spot I found at Park4Night. It looked pretty nice, but when we got there it was not suitable to park there. So we went further north and ended up at a camperspot alongside the road. We have a toilet, water and a beautiful view of a fort on a rocky mountain. Stunning!Baca lagi

    Traveling North

    Yesterday we had a bit of a storm.. Heavy rain, thunder, ofcourse I was cold.. Today we went up North a bit because tomorrow Steph is leaving back to NL again and I will be heading towards Slovenia.
    We're parked at a camper spot now next to a park which causes Floki to be nervous again. So tomorrow is going to be early rise, packing up and driving again.    Baca lagi

    Offroading unsuccessful

    I met up with Blaž and we had some mclunch at a park but it started raining and I got cold again... Then we waited for 3 other cars to meet us so we could go to the offroad trail. About 22.00 o'clock we went and a few 100 meters in my car didn't want to go up, so they helped me to winch it up. Then one of the guys who is a mechanic went underneath the car to check and it appears that my lowgear is not working correctly and the Landy could not drive the track. At this point I was already beyond nervous and scared so I decided to go find a place to sleep. Blaž came with me and now we are set up in a spot next to a river and some hills. It's 01.30 and I am finally in my tent... What a disastrous day...Baca lagi

    Bbq at the river

    I slept really well last night. It's very peaceful here and there is almost no people coming by. Maybe tomorrow because it's weekend. Today I was invited by Blaž to a picnic/party with a few of his friends next to where I'm parked, so I went and made some connections. But I feel a bit left out because obviously they are talking Slovenian and I can't understand a word. So I'll get some work done this evening and sleep a bit earlier and just relax. It's a nice spot so I might stay here for a bit.Baca lagi

    Taking a ride

    Today Blaž took Floki and me out for a drive to see some nice spots in the area. We went towards the mountains for a small walk and had some Strudel and Struckli (don't know how to spell it) at a riverspring and it was fabulous! After we went to check the suicide bridge (named by me) because it was weird seeing half a bridge stick out from the top of a mountain. And it was a restaurant with an amazing view. So we took a coffee there and then had dinner at my place (my car) some pasta I had made... We shared some stories and had a laugh and then Blaž said goodbye. Tomorrow I have some meetings planned so I will stay at this beautiful apot and maybe the next day I will start driving towards Croatia and Bosnia Herzegovina.Baca lagi

    Last day Dol pri Ljubljani

    Today was my sisters birthday, happy birthday Paulien! 😘
    I spent the day having some meetings for work and making small adjustments to the car inside for more efficiency. Then Blaž met up with me and we made a huge fire 🔥 and he baked burgers and my homemade fries. It was delicious and we talked and laughed so much. We will meet again my friend and I'll show you the hookers 😂 😂 😂
    All in all a very good day! Tomorrow I'm packing up and going to drive towards Croatia.    Baca lagi

    Welcome to Croatia

    I got up this morning, said goodbye to the lovely spot in Slovenia and went on the B roads to get to Croatia. At one point I thought I was in Hungary because all the license plates say HR (for Hrvatska obviously). Brainfart though ☺️
    I found a beautiful spot thanks to a suggestion Blaž made, but also found spiders... BIG spiders...
    Floki wanted to go to bed early today and I agreed..
    Tomorrow we'll go towards Bosnia where wildcamping is actually permitted 😂    Baca lagi

    Bosnia Herzegovina

    The night in Croatia was awful! I didn't sleep at all because there was so much wind and I was scared the tent wouldn't hold.. I got up early to pack up and leave quickly..
    I arrived in Bosnia and went to this offroad trail I found that goes all the way down south... I figured I would find a spot to camp along the track. I started driving and at one point the road turned into what looks like more of a river than a road. As a newbie and driving solo I wasn't going to try that so I turned around. Then my mobile phone provider cut me off from internet because I already used 60 euro in a few hours.. I tried to get some internet for my router but that wasn't possible. So I drove to a shop to buy a prepaid phone card for internet, but it was closed... I got very annoyed at that point. I started driving again and stopped at a campsite to sleep on it...Baca lagi

    I woke up this morning and it's raining... Anyone who knows me knows that I get miserable in the rain... Especially when camping in the rain.. I was actually thinking about going back to NL... Done with this... But I decided to find a house to stay in for a couple of days to destress a bit. I found a place on Airbnb and booked it.
    It's a very cute small house made of wood. The wifi is not so good but well it's something.. Better than no internet whatsoever. The drive was ok, a lot of rain and it's weird that sometimes the road just stops for a bit of gravel and then it's back to road 🤷
    Now I'm resting a bit for 3 nights and figure out what I want to do next..    Baca lagi

    Destressing

    The house is very nice, I slept well and the weather is better today. I went to buy a simcard so I can have internet for next week as well. Then we had a nice walk and the Flook was well behaved 😍.
    I finally found out how to get hot water for the shower so that was nice.. I can work a bit, but the wifi here is pretty bad so it keeps disconnecting..
    Had some pasta, tomorrow again because I made a shitload 😂    Baca lagi

    Today was a chill day. I cleaned the fridge so tomorrow I can start fresh again. Registered my simcard so I have more stable internet going, did some work and walked Floki a few times.
    Then I baked myself some pancakes cause that is birthday food to me!
    Going for another walkie later and I'll take a shower while I still can. ☺️
    Tomorrow I have to be out of the house by 12.00 so I have some time. We're going to check out Lukomir which is apparently the highest town in Bosnia.    Baca lagi

    A glorious day

    The day started of very relaxing... Woke up, cleaned up the place and packed up the car. Then I went for a nice walk with the Flook and I left the house around 12.00. I went to Lukomir, the highest village of Bosnia apparently... The drive was very nice so many pretty views 😍 , the village was way too busy. I was planning to meet up with a new friend but because there was no internet connection we couldn't manage to find each other so I decided to drive back down the mountain. I found a nice spot to camp next to the water on Park4Night not too far away so I went.. I found the place and drove to the water.. Saw some fishermen and I waved and smiled and then shit hit the fan 🤡 ... Stuck.. In the mud... Of course being the dramaqueen I am I panicked immediately and started texting people who might know how to help. I got some emotional support and tips all the way from NL, thanks for that Steph! And I had a call with Blaž, master offroader. He told me to dig, let some air out of the tires, try to go back and forth or else winch to my own spare tire... I didn't manage to get my car moving but then the fishermen came to the rescue with their VW Jetta. At one point I was winching him to the mud instead of myself out but in the end I got out! I was so happy I hugged this stranger 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 Thanks everyone for the support!
    I moved a bit further up on the steady ground and set up my tent. It is quite beautiful here... And I am pooped!! Enjoy the pics 😂    Baca lagi

    Offroad mayhem

    I was on the road early. I got some groceries and then I went to the offroad trail. My plan was to drive it and if I saw a nice spot I'd stay the night. But there was absolutely no internet connection there so I kept driving and spend almost 5 hours bouncing on the trail.. After that I still needed to find a place to stay so I set up the tent next to the road and some fishermen clubhouse. There's some guys having a drink and playing some music. They invited me but I said I have to work. I'll take my knife with me in the tent just in case. Already told them the dog is not friendly 😉
    Oh yeah and I forgot Floki's bowls were still outside when I drove of after having some lunch... Drove over one of them.. That is done for now 😂 oops 🤡    Baca lagi

    Just a nice little drive

    I had a slow morning. First a meeting for work, then I started taking down the tent, packing things up again, pumped the tires cause they were still on 1.5 bar from the ordeal in the mud, had another work meeting and then I did a little drive towards Šipovo. Blaž told me to go see the waterfalls in Jajce so I did a quick driveby and took a picture as well. Far too busy there for Floki and me. Then got some groceries and went to the spot where Blaž will meet me this weekend. So here I will stay if everything goes well. Floki is a bit sick unfortunately, so I need to keep an eye on him and if things get worse I will drive back to Slovenia for a vet. The vets here are apparently not that good. Let's hope for the best.Baca lagi

    We had some sheep visiting today. They will probably be here everyday. I moved the car a few 100 meters for a bit more peace. It seems to be better here. We did some walks and a whole lot of nothing. ☺️

    Relax

    Another relaxed day.. We did some more of nothing and some walkies.
    We spend some time taking a nap with the sheep and that was it.
    Today I learned that no Slovenians are coming to meet up with me so now I'm wondering what I should do next. I'll sleep on it and revise my plans.
    Floki is doing much better luckily but the stress with him with other animals and people is getting to me a bit. I'm always nervous going to a new spot if he will be ok or attack something or break loose..
    Anyway I made some nice dinner for myself today and it was good! 😍    Baca lagi
