    Windmills and Dinosaurs

    Hughenden is the town of windmills and dinosaurs. As part of the Australian dinosaur trail they are proud to tell everyone they too were home to the Muttaburrasaurus and quite a few others.

    Windmills were an essential pard of developing the outback. They reliably pumped water from hundreds of meters below the ground to water the growi g cattle and sheep industries. There are now very few operating windmills but some have been saved from the scrap heap and are on show.Read more
