After out stay at Casino for a couple of days we continued our trip south. We initially headed west to Tenterfield before actually getting further south.

We finally pulled in at the Bingara Riverside on the banks of the lovely Gwyder River. We have setup camp on the higher part of the river bed. It rocky with large pebbles making it a bit of aLæs mere
With the recent rains the falls is running quite nicely. Just a short walk from the car park.
Off a little to the side of the road we were promised a spire view. Well sort of... It's an interesting view of a small hill.

Last night the weather looked bad. Especially for setting up the camper. After a lot of agonising we decided to book in to a motel for the night. We woke up early with no packing up to do!

This well kept park was a welcome stop for lunch. The signage proudly proclaims Parkes as home of the dish. That's the radio telescope for anyone who had not heard.

After a great lunch stop at the Arboretum, we made our way up to the top of memorial Hill. The clouds decorated the background of the column nicely and the gardens are beautifully maintained.

Travelling south just past Forbes is the gum tree swamp. Advertised as a bird watchers paradise we needed to check it out.
