Had a relaxing day catching up on some admin. Strolled around Santo Amaro and found a lovely restaurant overlooking the Rio Alegre. Then cooled off in the river after lunch.

This afternoon we took a tour to the Lencois Marenhenses. We enjoyed a roller-coaster ride across the sand dunes, swam in crystal clear lagoons and watched the sunset.

Today we ventured out on a different kind of "hike" into the Lencois Maranhenses. Soft sand and thongs made it quite the workout! Then in the evening we enjoyed a samba party.

Today we travelled from Jericoacoara to Atins. More sand dunes and donkeys and even the odd goat! Settling in to Atins now and of course Derek found a microbrewery.

Today we ventured out along the eastern coast of Jeri, walking along the beach to Pedra Furada.

Another beautiful day in Jeri, starting with a morning run along the beach. Relaxed by the pool at our Pousada, then headed out to the beach again and found another great beach bar with live music.

Today we explored the west coast of Jericoacoara on a quad bike with our trusty guide leading us by motorbike. More sand dunes, beaches, mangroves and lagoons and lots of sun [and lots of fun!]
