This is the monument dedicated to the men and women who lost their lives during the First World War.
There was a man having a very loud photoshoot on the memorial so we didn’t hang around long!
Martin Luther King JR Memorial

This is the memorial dedicated to the life and work of MLK JR. it’s an amazing memorial that over looks the basin.
FDR Memorial

Really liked this memorial as it walks you through his 4 terms in office from beginning to end. Only president to have been elected 4 times

Jefferson Memorial

Very impressive monument to the 3rd President and the primary author of the Declaration of Independence.
Loved the location. What a spot!
Very windy by the river though!
Fords Theatre!

This is the site of the assassination of President Lincoln!
An absolutely fantastic museum and the place he was shot
The guides were very knowledgeable and we learned a lot.
Highly recommend.
Petersons House.

After he was shot President Lincoln was carried across the road to the house of William and Anna Peterson.
Lincoln was brain dead after the shot and bled out over night.

The retirement home of the 1st President. George Washington and also where he died.
Had a very interesting morning and our first glimpse into the reality of the enslaved people.
