Day 3: Terracotta Warriors

Although is was hard to get up early I left the hotel at 07.30 am for going to the Terracotta Warriors Museum 45 km outside the town. My intention was to go 100% by public transport - no taxi - and it worked perfectly. Two hours later I was at the monument ground spending only 10 RMB (1.50 CHF) for the transport.
At the entrance many tourist guides were waiting for victims. One girl disclosed to me that it might be boring without guide. Nice argument, but it can be even more boring with guide.
Inside it was like at the Great Panda Sanctuary: at first you only see people and in rare moments panda or sculptures. But I was lucky to be so early. At this time the sun is shining from one side into the hall. So not only grey, dark hall like one colleague in former times commented his visit.
My conclusion: it's s a must see if you are near. But two hours are enough. And don't travel half around the world only for seeing this.Baca lagi
