We went on some brilliant walks through moorland and woods in Hamra National Park.
We were even allowed to stay overnight there in our campervan, which is usually forbidden in national parks.
So, at 1.30 am after the World Cup final, we went on another night-time walk, keeping an eye out for 🫎 and 🐻.
But we didn’t see any…

Hamra National Park, designated on 24 May 1909 and thus one of the nine oldest national parks on the European continent[1], is situated in the municipality of Ljusdal in Orsa Finnmark. Covering just 28 hectares, it was Sweden’s smallest national park until it was expanded to 1,383 hectares in 2011. It lies in the midst of an intensively farmed area and forms a small, unspoilt oasis. The park is situated on two flat moraine hills by the small lake Näckrostjärnen. A circular trail runs through the park, laid on wooden planks in the marshy sections. Czytaj więcej
