Day #37 New Zealand

Visit to the Otago peninsula and to see the penguins.

There were none on the beach but we did see a couple of little blue penguins in their nesting box because they were moulting.

There was a New Zealand sea lion coming back from the sea - he was massive - and some fur seals were sleeping on the beach.

Then we went to the rehabilitation centre where the injured penguins are looked after. Got to see lots of yellow eyed penguins - very endangered.

Shaun then did a long drive on the way to Doubtful Sound cruise tomorrow. Night on a free campsite - a car park.Read more
