Day #152 Kyrgyzstan

A very, very long drive today to get from Song-kul to Bishkek. Shaun did really well on bad roads.

We stopped at Chu River observation point to see where 2 rivers meet, which was interesting to see.

We continued to Banara tower, which originally was part of a mosque but now stands alone in a cemetery. It's 24m high. Some of the gravestones are shaped like people.

We arrived in Bishkek quite late and met some friends (Harriett and Simon) from the yurt camp for dinner. But before, we did a whistle stop tour of the city. It has multiple parks and lots of statues, including one of Lenin. There's also the biggest flag I've ever seen.Læs mere
