Day #169 Turkiye (part 1)

We started early to go inside the main things we looked at yesterday before the crowds.

We started at the Blue Mosque, which was very pretty with the mosaics.

Afterwards, we went to Haiga Sophia. It was interesting to see all the mosaics of Jesus, Mary and other Christian symbols inside a mosque. There's also some graffiti from a viking made in the 9th century and the trident from Poseidon.

Lastly, we went to the Basilica Cisterns, which were pretty cool underground constructions for storing water.

We had an easy afternoon, and then got the ferry across to the Asian side for dinner.Weiterlesen
