Day trip on a boat to Schooner Island, an hour and half sail from the mainland.
Great time snorkeling and seeing the coral and fish. So colourful.

Lazy morning today as travelled to Vanuatu this afternoon.
Checked in to the hotel and had dinner, before an early night.

Trip to the Blue Lagoon for a swim in the morning.
Then to a turtle sanctuary to swim with green sea turtles and then to a waterfall and cascades for another dip.

Easy day today due to rain and tiredness - travelling is catching up with us.
Went to the gym, then for lunch and some research for later on in the trip.

Long walk around Port Vila to the centre of town. Saw a lot of damage from the earthquake on December 17th 2024 and how the country is still rebuilding.

First stop was Pepeyo cultural village to learn about the traditional way of life, that the community still practices now.

Travel day today from Vanuatu to Samoa, via a brief stop in Fiji.
We wish they had Fanta Pineapple at home.

Went for a walk around the capital, Apia.
Found a nice church and coastline.
Did get caught in a big rain downpour.

Had an easy morning and then went to the giant clam sanctuary.

Went on the ferry to the other island in Samoa (Savai'i) early in the morning.
Visited the Alofaaga blowholes and Afu Aau waterfall before ferry home.

Picked up the campervan and then went punting on the River Avon in Christchurch.
We might struggle with the amount of space in the van.

Went for a walk around the botanical gardens and centre of town.

Continued the drive to Lake Tasman and did a short hike to the lake to see the glacier and ice bergs in the lake.

There were none on the beach but we did see a couple of little blue penguins in their nesting box because they were moulting.

Overnight boat trip on Doubtful Sound.
Amazing scenery and landscapes and even got to see some bottlenose dolphins swimming alongside the boat.
Went for a dip in the water too.
