Onuku Day #2. Hector's Dolphin Swim!

    11 février 2019, Nouvelle-Zélande ⋅ ☀️ 20 °C

50 (minimum) of Hector’s dolphins in Akaroa Bay, 25ish Blue Penguins on Akaroa Head, sea swallows, (pied?) cormorants, black gannets, and a lot of lounging moma and pup seals in Haylocke Bay. It really was a fantastic tour with beautiful scenery, high cliffs, radiant light, a great stone archway, small caves, gannet nesting site, and baby gannet rock. To top things off we had warm tea and biscuits while hanging with the seals. My wetsuit was new and super warm. We really got to swim right with the dolphins when they were curious enough to check us out. We also had a good laugh at the expense of propeller-girl. I was also voted off the boat to go piss my wetsuit in the water, but I kept my pride and held it until we got back.
I also applied for a job, we did the ridge walk, and hopped on “lookout” rock.
