Liesjärvi National Park

Winter hike in Liesjärvi National Park. Though the weather really is everything possible which makes packing difficult.

I was originally thinking of staying two days, but the trails are really bad. Not many people have walked here and there's just a few footprints to follow and sometimes the snow is waist deep! It's really hard to hike. So much so that I almost gave up during the day.

It was a warm night and it snowed quite a lot during the night. I camped partly on the ice. In my tent I could hear the water flowing between the narrow channel.Read more
