It's crazy how many people venture into the forests without a map and at least some water and snacks.

Today in less than 20 kilometers hike I advised first a German couple who had walked really far from their car, lost a cell phone signal and with that google maps. They didn't' know which way to go to reach their car. After I managed to understand where their car was I set them to the correct direction and they had about 4 kilometers to hike to reach their car. I estimate that they had already walked at least five to six kilometers...without any supplies...

After that a mother with I don't know, four to five children, I don't know as more just seemed to come from the woods had walked two hours and were tired, didn't know where they were, which way to go to reach their car. Tried to call her husband to pick them up, but it's difficult when you don't know where you are and are standing in the middle of the forest. I advised them to walk to the bigger road, just a kilometer away and arrange a pickup from there.

And this is nothing uncommon. Last time in Nuuksio I also came across a man from Asia who was on the verge of panic because he had just walked and walked and walked from the bus stop, which was over 6 kilometers away! And he didn't know how to find a way back.
