15 | Waikato | Hobbiton

🇬🇧 This afternoon we went on a tour to the Hobbiton Movie Set where I had previously been in 2013, but it was Rob's first visit. The weather was lovely and our tour guide told us lots of interesting facts about the place. One of the highlights was going inside a hobbit hole, which has only been added a year ago. We were both very impressed by the attention to detail everywhere, and the flowers and gardens were in full bloom. We ended our tour with a free drink in the pub and brainstormed on how to make our garden look more like Hobbiton.

🇩🇪 Heute Nachmittag machten wir eine Tour im Hobbiton-Filmset, wo ich 2013 schon einmal gewesen war, aber es war Robs erster Besuch. Das Wetter war herrlich und unser Reiseleiter erzählte uns viele interessante Fakten über den Ort. Einer der Höhepunkte war der Besuch einer Hobbithöhle, die erst vor einem Jahr hinzugefügt wurde. Wir waren beide sehr beeindruckt von der Liebe zum Detail überall und die Blumen und Gärten standen in voller Blüte. Wir beendeten unsere Tour mit einem kostenlosen Getränk im Pub und überlegten, wie wir unseren Garten mehr wie Hobbiton aussehen lassen könnten.Read more
