Window shopping in Sorrento this afternoon before dinner at a working farm.
We watched a Italian Nonna freshly make mozzarella cheese and oven bake pizza!
Very tasty dinner!
Assisi

We had a 5 hour bus ride today from Sorrento to Assisi.
Walked through the St Francis of Assisi Basilica/church and walked down past where he is entombed

Venice

7.30am left Assisi for Venice.
Arrived ay 7pm after a stop in Verona for lunch.
Caught a water taxi into Lido where our hotel is

Had a great day today! Road a speedboat and a gondola and did a walk and had a huge dinner again with lots of wine.....

Went out on the Lake today to Borromean Lakes. Saw a gorgeous castle and took a mini tour. Iso Bella it was called

Left the Lakes area today to head to Florence. Stopped at Pisa on the way. What a magnificent sight!!

Got to Florence late in the afternoon. Time for a quick rest before heading out for a tuscan dinner with the group at Macchiavelli House.

Went to the Accademia today to see the statues by Michelangelo.
Statue of David included.
Also in the way out of Florence went to the cemetery of the fallen American soldiers from WW2

Rome

Tour finished last night so we are now back in Rome for a couple of days before flying home on Saturday.
Still found more sites that we hadn't seen previously!

Roma Catacombs tour

We did a night tour of the Capuchin Crypts and Catacombs of Priscilla. Photos were not allowed of the crypt or Catacombs.
