Day 6 Saint Veran to La Marmora

    August 28, 2015 in Italy ⋅ ☀️ 21 °C

Another day that was all about vertical metres. 92.8 km and 2700mt of ascent. Setting off early from Saint Veran on a small road that took as to the long frag up to the Col Agnel, which is the second highest col in Europe. To get the top we needed to 830 mt over 12.6km. Spectacular views and loads of marmottes. Next we tackled the little known Col de Sanpeyre and on tired legs it proved really tough. No surprises as this Col was always steep (10% avg). It took me 2.44 to climb the 1321 mt over 16km. We ended up in the tiny village of La Marmora where we stayed at the Agri Turismo La Marmu.Read more
