Overcast morning, did the washing and read my book. Sandy and I left for our Seal and Harbour tour at 2pm and the sun came out and all the clouds disappeared, the afternoon was beautiful.
Lovely, knowledgeable crew took us out past two nesting Osprey, a very active seal, a graveyard for Tuna pens and some very expensive fishing boats. Finally out to the same Atoll we have looked at yesterday at Donington Point, there were dozens of Seals basking in the sun and playing in the shallows, also hundreds of Shags and Pelicans - the smell was a little overpowering on one side of the island.
Enjoyed watching the seals for a while then noticed the Dolphins were over at the mainland so the skipper took us over to watch them playing, it was a big pod and they were racing the boat, diving and enjoying the lovely weather. Headed back to the Harbour past the Mussel farms and all the homes around the Marina - big expensive properties with their own jetties.
Was a perfect afternoon which we both enjoyed, even had some Sashimi King Fish, fresh cooked mussels and local prawns on the boat....yumRead more
