Exploring The Coromandel

Drove around The Coromandel peninsula then to Hot Water Beach. A lovely Asian family invited me to join them in their pool. It was hot underfoot!!!
Cathedral Cove walk

We stopped at Hahei and did the Cathedral Cove walk. Quite long and very hilly- felt good👍
Then drove around Cooks Beach and then a swim at "our" Beach back at Ferry Landing.
Night ferry to tea

Fancy taking a 3 minute ride over the water to find some tea? It's great! $7 return trip from Ferry Landing to Whitianga and then a short walk home. Awesome
Coromandel to Rotorua

Early morning clifftop walk before heading off to Rotorua via mining town and waterfalls staying at a room in Air BNB. Great burger for tea
Back to Auckland via Taupo and Hobbiton

As a Hobbit and Lord of the Rings fan, I couldn't go past this. Steve didn't really care for it but we were both blown away by it. So very clever and well done - on someone's farm!!

A lovely place to stay. Dianne had it all booked.
Clean pools, plenty of room in the apartments, close to town.
