We visited Maria on our village ramble.
She has been weaving since around age 13 and is now in her 70's.

ViaggiatoreRomanian is a Latin based language and Hungarian is a uralic based language but the Hungarians had a big influence on Transylvania. The Romanian language does also contain words that sound similar to other languages. They say ciao for a short hello, salut for a longer one, merci for a short thanks (spelt mersi though). Apparently Italian, French, Spanish are closest to Romanian. Romanian is the only eastern block country with a Latin based language due to the early Romans.

Back to Bucharest today. Steve and I are both flying with Tarom from our respective cities and get in about the same time.
