Chertsey

Returning to Chertsey to continue our interrupted exploration of the area.
On Boxing day afternoon we walked along the Thames for a short while, then into Chertsey village - all was very quiet. The Thames water levels had reduced by almost 300mm and some people were out sweeping the tow paths around the river.
The following day we set off on our bikes to visit the Great Park in Windsor. As we arrived our sat nav died and we took an extra 45 minutes to find the park entrance. We did manage however to see some of the park surrounds that we might otherwise have missed. Eventually finding the entrance to the park at Bishopsgate Lane we enjoyed a good ride around its southern end - all around Virginia Water. There were many people out walking, cycling, skate boarding etc - we enjoyed a warming tea and coffee at the cafe by Virginia Water which was doing a roaring trade. We exited the park by the Saville Gardens entrance which was about 50 yards from where our sat nav expired.もっと詳しく
