We spent a quiet week at Warsash - On Thursday Anne visited Karen for a walk along the Hamble, enjoying a natter and a coffee at the marina there. Alan packed up the rucksack with camera and big lens and wandered off to the river side aiming to sit with the big lens watching the world go by. As we both got to our destinations the sky darkened and the rain fell quite heavily. Alan returned to base with camera unused and looking very wet and dishevelled, the ladies returned later having been able to find some shelter.
On Friday Peter and Charmaine visited with Paul, and we set off up the Hamble once again for a jolly walk. The wind was fierce by the riverside and the sky foreboding so we did not chance another big soaking and cut our losses before the heavens opened. It was nice to have the catch up.
On Sunday we had a crafting day with Karen tackling knitted sun flowers and Alan paper flower heads - all aimed at Kirsty's July wedding.
On the Monday Karen visited Georgie for a catch up (excited now that up to 6 people can meet together outside!), and in the afternoon we walked up through Warsash and Locks Heath to Whiteley Village and had a rummage around the very few shops that were open or partially open.
Tuesday we walked along the coast to enjoy a packed lunch at Titchfield Haven in glorious sunshine. However the cold wind rushing along the beach cooled the temperature down considerably.Read more
