    We drove over to Hinton Ampner, so we could complete the National Trust walk through the bluebell woods, before they were past their best. Parking up adjacent to the gardens n the village we set off along the route which took us, after a while, into Joan's Acre Wood and then Broom Wood. The display of bluebells here was magnificent, even more impressive than those at Micheldever and well worth the trip.
    On Monday Karen cycled into CF in the afternoon, after dropping me off in Southampton, for a "stitch and bitch" session with Ruta and Anne. They are busy knitting flowers for Kirsty's wedding in July, and were swapping tips on the best way to knit sunflowers, gerberas and Cala lilies. I walked back to the van after my treatment when I was joined by Trevor for a good chat about our common interest in rugby, cricket, football and South Africa.
