Parley Glade

We needed to be back in Winchester in a few days time for medical stuff, so decided to break our journey at Bournemouth at the site at Parley Glade. Our previous visit was enjoyable but spoilt a little by the flare up of Karen's knee problem.
This time we cycled into Bournemouth and locked the bikes up on the esplanade. We then walked along the promenade to the Jazz Cafe at Sandbanks where we shared a big ice cream before finding a sunny spot by the sea wall where we read our books.
On Saturday after chilling with the papers in the morning we walked along the River Stour in search of some kingfishers. None to be seen according to others on the river banks.
The following day we cycled down to Hengistbury where we walked across the head and around the peninsular. We parked our bikes up at the cafe area where we had our picnic, the starlings here were fearless and very interested in our food - we could have fed them by hand.Читать далее
