    LLandudno

    September 7, 2021 in Wales ⋅ ☀️ 22 °C

A travelling day to Llandudno - we took the A4212 out of Bala which took us past the reservoir Llyn Celyn which was clearly very far from being full. We then took the very picturesque B4391 towards Llan Ffestiniog where some of the scenery was spectacular. We then rejoined the A470 and stopped off at Betws y Coed where we parked up in a layby and walked across fields into the village.
The village was very busy with visitors and the old railway station buildings were full of craft shops and eateries..
We arrived at Newry Grange CL site at noon then cycled into LLandudno in the afternoon for a visit. The cycle route via the coast was sand logged in part which made the ride quite difficult at times.
We were expecting Llandudno to be similar to Skegness but were very pleasantly surprised to see a very elegant town with a broad and well used promenade along the bay.
