    Harlech

    Slate quarries aside, with very little to look at in BF we took the van out to visit Harlech with its imposing castle high on a hill overlooking the sea.
    We parked up in the car park next to the beach under the castle in glorious sunshine and wandered up to the castle which is another of Edward 1st creations. Quite a place too with great views around the surrounding countryside.
    Harlech had a bit more to offer than BF and after a little mooch in the town we returned to drop our bags off at the van before heading to the beach for a wander along the sands. A few people were enjoying the surf in lovely afternoon sunshine. Karen went for a paddle whilst I gallantly held her shoes.
