South Wonston

We returned to SW for to be there to remind the agents to sell our house. We used SW as a base for the next few weeks. Having sustained some damage by a hit and run driver to the rear of Chloe in the car park of a supermarket we decided that we should bring forward our plans to buy a little run around car for the time being. Thankfully a witness to the hit and run gave us details of the driver so we started the process of claiming for the repairs which had to be done through our insurance company. Even though an offense had been committed the police were not interested.
We took the van to Sewardstone for the weekend of the 24th September to look after Magnus, Jemima and Mary while Stew and Em snuck off to celebrate Em's birthday. Grand parents had a great time and we returned to SW on 27th to receive an acceptable offer for our house.
On the first weekend in October we had the family over for a visit. Stew, Em and their three all came down and we were joined by Kirsty and Matt. Meg got a taxi over from Sidmouth so we all enjoyed a great weekend. We opened a very large bottle of champers to celebrate all being together at last.
On the Tuesday we drove to near Reading to look at and buy a little run around, a Kia Picanto, which was delivered to SW the following day.
The weekend of the 15th saw K go to South Wales with Debbie to enjoy a girls weekend with Maria at Cowbridge.
On 23rd - October half term we returned to London to help Stew and Em with childcare. We all had a great time once again, on the Monday with Magnus at the school garden and then with the girls too at the local parks.
Magnus has been practising hard with the piano and gave us a recital in the evening, introduced by Jemima. We all visited the London Docklands Museum at East India Dock which was very interesting and we enjoyed a brilliant talk about locks, cranes and levers by the museum curator.
We prepared pumpkin lanterns for halloween after which the children enjoyed making pumpkin fairy cakes too.
W returned to SW for a few days - Karen shot off to a Spa in Cheltenham to have a girlie couple of days with Kirsty and A prepared the van for short trip up north.Read more
