Nice little beach side town. Turakina river runs right across the beach front. Approx 45 min walk along the beach to the river mouth where we have been told the fishing is good. You can drive down butLue lisää

We are back, busy here this time. Puddle at the gate has been fixed. We found a nice fishing spot down by the boat club, there is also a pop down there that does not show up on the nzmca app, $5 pn.Lue lisää

Stunning and quite right on the beach, fishing, whitebaiting plenty of space for everyone. App says 6 camper only but there are about 20 here. Must be selfcontained.
Plimmerton nzmca park

3 nights here, check out there freedom spots that we will stay at. Good sized park, 2 fullsized clothslines, dog run, small vege garden. Handy to shops and the beach.

Plenty of things to do here, metal detecting, fishing and just chilling.
There are alot of others here but still a couple of spaces. Pack in pack out, there are toilets if you want to walk to them.

So we came back to plimmerton nzmca park for 2 nights, then went back to ngati toa freedom for 2 nights and today we are back at plimm nzmca for 1 night before catching the ferry in the morning.

Lovely camp, love all the qurky bits around the camp. Went for a drive 30mins to Blenheim and checked out a couple of doc camps.

Right next to the beach you can find this little gem, toilets, cold showers, water but should boil first. Picnic tables, walking tracks. This camp you can use your doc pass but you dont book online.Lue lisää

Wow, snow on the hills, we sure know we are in the south island. So far we have had hot weather, gale force winds that were warm. Checked out a few spots to fish. Off for a fish now catch you later.

This is a large nzmca park, part of it is fenced off for van storage. At this park you find, toilets, laundry, a large lounge with log fire. Rubish bins on site along with double dump station. ThereLue lisää
